A Letter from Kirk Care

Updated: Aug 25, 2021

Dear HOK Volunteers,

Kirk Care is beyond thrilled to be the recipient of the Hands On Kirkwood food/personal care and cleaning supply drive this year. The 2020 HOK event was a huge record setting success this year. In total, we received nearly double the food donations and nearly triple the personal care/cleaning supply donations compared to last year. Through today’s date, we have received a record 13,900 items donated compared with a total of 6,600 items donated last year - AMAZING!!! This donation will touch the lives of over 550 families experiencing food insecurity within our community. What an incredible outpouring of love from the Kirkwood community to help those in most need, especially now with families experiencing loss of jobs and kids home from school missing out on school meals. I’m so proud of our Kirkwood community to help others in need. Thank you Hands On Kirkwood in organizing this great community event! A special thanks to Allen McReynolds for organizing expanded neighborhood area bag drop and donation pick up and also to Anne Serkin for her leadership in managing the donation flow on event day. God has truly blessed us!

Gratefully yours,

Larry Watson, President
